When they’re doing their job well, you shouldn’t notice them. Recently, though, game officials are barely visible because they’re in short supply. High school sporting events across the country are suffering from a dwindling corps of game officials across nearly all sports and seasons. The North Carolina National Guard Association and the North Carolina National Guard are happy to announce the date for our next Tarheel Homecoming on 16 December 2016. We invite retirees and prior service National Guard members to attend and learn more about current guard operations and provide information on retiree benefits. We will also be celebrating the National Guard’s 380th birthday celebration during the event. The event will be hosted at Joint Force Headquarters at 1636 Gold Star Drive, Raleigh, NC 27607. At Fort Bragg, those serving their nation in the Armed Forces have found other ways to give back to the men and women who came before them. During the week marking Veterans Day, soldiers participated in Veterans Day celebrations throughout the state. And they contributed to less public tributes. They gathered food donations for needy military families. They visited older veterans to pay respects to past generations. And at the North Carolina State Veterans Home off Cochran Avenue in Fayetteville, soldiers culminated a four-mile ruck march with a breakfast alongside veterans. Read More…

The Air Force Civilian Service is looking for job seekers with in-demand technical skills in the cyber and acquisition realms.
